As the original founder member, drummer and co-writing force behind Canadian 80’s superstars GLASS TIGER, Michael Hanson garnered 5 JUNO AWARDS, a U.S. Grammy Nomination and multiple gold & Platinum hit sales worldwide. As one of the most elite “chorus hook-writers” in North America and having worked with songwriters previously writing for Cher, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Chicago, Rob Zombie and The Pointer Sisters to name just a few – Hanson continues to write and produce for both young upcoming artists as well as established acts at the highest level.
Being a multi-instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums) completes Michael as a perfect ‘one-stop-shop’ which – along with his vast experience and extraordinary talent – have attracted everyone from Pop Solo Performers to Indie Rock Bands to his studios. He continues to write successfully for Film and Netflix Series as well. Michael co-wrote and Produced “Free To Be” for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and most recently “If You Think I’m A Joke”, a Beatle-eqsue pop song which won him a CCAA songwriter award in 2014. The song is now the nucleus for a major Hollywood Documentary for release in 2016, whereby over 25 superstars from Slash to Mariah Carey are performing it and doing interviews on anti-bullying. Hanson works from his new Digital Studios in Mississauga ON. and heads up new Canadian Indie Label “Radar Love Records”.
